Catalina, g-pbya ,visits Reykjavik ,Iceland ,for an airshow .photos and video

Next monday there will be an airshow in Reykjavik.
And this monday is a public holiday in Iceland .
This afternoon there came a guest that will take part in the airshow .
That guest is the PBY Catalina .
The Consolidated PBY Catalina was an American flying boat of the 1930s and 1940s
produced by Consolidated Aircraft.
The Catalina was the most successful aircraft of its kind;
no other flying boat was produced in greater numbers.
When the Catalaina had stopped in Reykjavik, the guys,that flew the Catalina in Iceland , when it was used here for passenger service, they came and lined up in front of the Catalina.
It was great to see these old flying heros together and two Dc-3´s and a Catalina in Reykjavik.
This Catalina is operated by Plane Sailing Air Displays Limited on behalf of Catalina Aircraft Limited .
